Frequently Asked Question
These terms govern all CCTV-related supplies, installations, services, and post-sales support rendered by The Good Men Enterprise. By availing our services or making any part/full payment, the client agrees to these terms without exception.
1. Agreement to Terms
Proceeding with quotation approval, issuing a purchase order, or making any payment constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, which are legally binding. No verbal commitments or assumed responsibilities are valid unless stated in writing by us.
2. Scope of Service
We agree to provide:
- Delivery and installation of CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR, hard drives, power supplies, cables, connectors, and mounting hardware as per quotation.
- Standard installation, including mounting of cameras at reachable heights (via ladder) and connecting devices to a working display system.
- Basic system testing, angle adjustment, and demonstration on-site.
We do not provide (unless explicitly mentioned in quotation):
- Internal or concealed wiring.
- High-rise camera installation (requiring scaffolding or external contractors).
- Conduits, casing, capping, or accessories unless billed separately.
- IP configuration involving third-party routers, static IP, or advanced firewall settings.
- Structural modification or civil work.
- Touch-up painting or wall restoration post drilling.
3. Customer Responsibilities
The customer must ensure the following before installation day:
- Internet access is live and stable (for remote viewing setup).
- Power points are ready at all installation spots.
- Network ports/cables and router access are available if remote access is required.
- Proper permissions from society/building management are taken.
- On-site contact person is available for decisions or approvals.
Failure to meet the above can delay or halt installation. In such cases, additional charges may apply for rescheduling.
4. Warranty & Liability
Equipment Warranty:
- Equipment carries manufacturer warranty only. We facilitate the process but are not liable for replacement/rejection decisions made by the brand.
- Warranty does not cover:
- Physical damage
- Water ingress
- Short circuits due to power fluctuations
- Device tampering by customer or third party
- Warranty on Hard Disks, Adapters, SMPS is as per brand policy and is not covered by us beyond supply.
Installation Warranty:
- Installation workmanship is covered for 7 days from completion. Beyond this, any visit will be charged.
- We are not liable for footage loss, camera failures, hard drive crashes, network outages, or app-related issues post-installation.
5. No Guarantee Clause
- CCTV is a monitoring tool, not a security guarantee. It does not prevent theft, burglary, trespassing, or vandalism.
- We are not responsible for any incident or loss, even if it occurred while the cameras were operational or recording.
- Data retrieval or footage recovery (if the system fails, crashes, or is stolen) is not guaranteed.
6. Payment Terms
- 100% advance for material purchase.
- Installation charges are payable immediately after service.
- Delays in payment beyond 2 days will incur a late fee of ₹250/day.
- Prices are subject to GST unless mentioned otherwise.
- Any hold on payment due to 3rd party approvals, auditor clearances, etc., is not acceptable once material is delivered and work is done.
7. Cancellation, Returns & Refunds
- Once equipment is billed/dispatched, no cancellation or return is permitted.
- If return is accepted (at our discretion), restocking charges of 15–25% apply depending on the item and brand policy.
- No refund on services rendered.
- Refunds for defective products will only be processed if the brand provides replacement and refunds us.
8. Remote Access Disclaimer
- Setting up mobile access depends on customer’s router configuration and internet policy.
- We are not responsible for:
- Remote access failure due to router resets, app updates, mobile phone issues, or ISP restrictions.
- Customer forgetting usernames/passwords or changing phones.
- Dynamic IP issues unless a static IP is provided.
- Any revisit for restoring remote access will be chargeable, minimum ₹650 per visit.
9. Revisit & Support Charges
- After installation, we provide 1 free visit within 7 days for any functional adjustment.
- Beyond this, visits are chargeable:
- In-store support: ₹350 onwards
- On-site visit: ₹650–₹950 per trip
- WhatsApp/phone support is available during business hours, but remote resolution is not guaranteed for every issue.
10. Theft, Vandalism & Damage
- In case of camera tampering, footage loss, DVR theft, or power failure:
- We are not liable for any loss, damage, or insurance claims.
- We can assist in providing footage only if it is intact and accessible on the device.
- Footage backup/retrieval services are separately chargeable.
11. System Upgrade or Expansion
- Adding more cameras, replacing HDDs, or increasing storage will be considered new scope of work and charged accordingly.
- Compatibility with old systems is not guaranteed if sourced from other vendors.
12. Force Majeure
We shall not be held liable for any delays or failures caused by events beyond our control including natural disasters, supplier failure, riots, strikes, or government restrictions.
13. Disputes
- All disputes shall be subject to Mumbai jurisdiction only.
- In the event of any disagreement, the maximum liability of The Good Men Enterprise will be limited to the value of the service charge paid, excluding equipment costs.
14. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service
We reserve the right to:
- Refuse service to rude, abusive, or non-cooperative clients.
- Terminate service agreements without refund if misbehavior, delay in payment, or unreasonable demands arise.
15. Final Note
CCTV is a technical product, subject to the limitations of hardware, software, environment, and user behavior. We urge clients to regularly maintain, update, and check their systems for optimal performance.
We provide the tools. You are responsible for their upkeep.
