How to Take Email Account Backup of Titan Mail Using Microsoft Outlook (PST Format)
Last Updated a year ago

Creating a local backup of your Titan Mail emails is an excellent way to safeguard important conversations and attachments. If you’re usingMicrosoft Outlook, you can export your entire mailbox to a .PST file—a widely accepted backup format that can also be imported later into Outlook.

Follow this step-by-step guide to back up your Titan Mail account safely and reliably.

Prerequisites

Before you begin:

  • Make sure you have Microsoft Outlook installed (any version from Outlook 2013 onward is fine).
  • You’ll need your Titan email address, password, and IMAP configuration settings (usually available in your Titan dashboard under Settings > Accounts > Configuration).

Step 1: Add Your Titan Account to Outlook via IMAP

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings…
  3. Click on New… to add a new email account.
  4. Enter the Titan Mail email address and click Connect.
  5. Choose IMAP when prompted.
  6. Enter the following Titan IMAP server settings:

    Incoming Mail (IMAP):

    • Server: imap.titan.email
    • Port: 993
    • Encryption: SSL/TLS

    Outgoing Mail (SMTP):

    • Server: smtp.titan.email
    • Port: 587
    • Encryption: STARTTLS
  7. Enter your password when prompted and complete the account setup.

Outlook will now start syncing your Titan mailbox. Depending on the size, this may take a few minutes to several hours.

Step 2: Export Your Emails to a PST File

Once your Titan account is fully synced in Outlook:

  1. Go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
  2. In the wizard that opens, choose:
    • Export to a file > Click Next.
  3. Select Outlook Data File (.pst) > Click Next.
  4. Choose the Titan Mail account (or a specific folder like Inbox, Sent Items, etc.).
    • You can also check Include subfolders if you want a full backup.
  5. Click Next and then Browse to choose a destination to save the .pst file.
  6. Click Finish.

You may be prompted to add an optional password to protect your backup file—this is not mandatory.

Backup Completed

Congratulations! Your Titan Mail emails are now saved locally in a .PST file. You can store this file safely, copy it to a secure drive, or even use it to migrate to another Outlook profile or device.

Restore / Import PST Backup (Optional)

To restore this backup on any Outlook profile:

  1. Go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
  2. Select Import from another program or file > Outlook Data File (.pst).
  3. Browse to the saved .pst file and import it.

 Notes

  • PST files do not sync back to Titan. They are local backups only.
  • Backups should be performed regularly if you need up-to-date archives.
  • If you manage multiple accounts or large inboxes, consider scheduling periodic exports manually or using a third-party automation tool.
