How to Configure Google Workspace MX Records for Your Domain
Last Updated a year ago
If you’re using Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) for email, you’ll need to update your domain’s MX records to route email through Google’s servers.
Google Workspace MX Records
Priority | Mail Server |
|---|---|
1 | ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. |
5 | ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. |
5 | ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. |
10 | ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. |
10 | ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. |
Note: Some DNS providers require a period (.) at the end of each server name. Double-check with your DNS host.
Important Notes
- Remove any old MX records that don’t point to Google — multiple sets can cause email delivery issues.
- TTL (Time to Live) should be set to 3600 seconds (1 hour) or use the default value provided by your registrar.
- These records apply to all domains using Google Workspace (Business Starter, Standard, Plus, or Enterprise).
